Platform Features¶
Overview¶
Beyond trading, the E8 Markets terminal includes several community and analytical features to enhance your experience.
Platform-level features are available from the left sidebar, top header, and bottom status bar.
Q: How do I switch between Dark and Light mode?
A: Click the "Switch to Light" (or "Switch to Dark") toggle in the top-right header bar. The interface switches theme instantly with no page reload required.
Q: What is the Community Chat and how do I use it?
A: Click "Show community chat" in the top header to open a side panel where you can interact with other traders on the platform. Discuss market ideas, share setups, or ask questions in real time. Click the button again to hide the chat panel.
Q: What is the News Feed?
A: The NEWS section in the left sidebar displays market analysis articles published by E8 Markets (e.g., EUR/USD analysis, Gold outlook, Crypto updates). Articles are updated regularly and help you stay informed about macro events that may affect your trades. Click any headline to open the full article.
Q: What is the Leaderboard?
A: The Leaderboard (LDR) section ranks traders on the platform by performance metrics. It's a great way to benchmark your results and discover trading strategies used by top performers. Access it via the sidebar or press G → L.
Q: What is the Globe view?
A: The Globe (GLB) provides a visual, geographic overview of global market activity — giving you a high-level snapshot of where market action is concentrated. Navigate to it from the sidebar or press G → G.
Q: Can I use the terminal with AI tools or assistants?
A: The terminal includes a "Use with AI?" toggle in the bottom-right corner of the Trade screen (next to the Hotkeys label). This enables a live data feed that can be consumed by connected AI tools for analysis or automation.
The bottom status bar includes Live status, Use with AI, Hotkeys, and UTC time.
